It's not really mine to know, is it? –It sounds like the central character in this story has been drinking too much and feeling very uncomfortable with the fact that he knows something that no one else knows. He feels as though he has become a celebrity and that he will experience a lot of attention and questions from everyone around him.

However, he does not mind so much because he once enjoyed the feeling of being the only one who knew something important. When we feel special about what we know or see or do, we often overreact and feel as though everyone around us wants to know our secrets and won’t let us be alone. While it may be fun to feel special, people become uncomfortable when we try to be seen as more knowledgeable than we really are.
